The members' centre does not contain confidential or private information, but rather information that has been prepared specifically for our members. The Provincial Office does not want to make this information available to the general public, because the information is deemed to be a "member benefit". Items such as Tax Tips, Fact Sheets, and resources for webmasters have been produced and reviewed by staff, committee members, and professionals such as lawyers and accountants.
In addition, the members' section has regular features, including the provincial Constitution, resources from past issues of the popular Renaissance column, "Computer Ease", and highlights of past Senates, and special features, such as the report on the provincial membership survey.
In order to access the members' centre of the Web site, you need to register.
The first time you visit the site, click on "Register First".
In the box that comes up, enter the nine-digit membership number, including hyphens (from your RTO/ERO membership card) as your username.
Then enter a password of your choice.
Once you have registered, at each subsequent visit, click on "Log on".
You will be prompted to enter your username (RTO/ERO membership number, including hyphens) and your password.
If you forget your password, you can simply re-register with a new password:
click on "Register First";
put in your RTO/ERO membership number, including hyphens; and,
enter a new password.
Once you have re-registered, you will be prompted to enter your usemame (RTO/ERO membership number, including hyphens) and your new password.
Each year, prior to the deadline for filing an income tax return, a set of tax tips is prepared.
This material is available on the members-only pages of the RTO/ERO Web site, or from Liz Timms, Administrative Assistant Reception, Provincial Office: (416) 962-9463, or 1-(800) 361-9888.
To assist members in making various plans, or decisions, RTO/ERO Provincial Office has produced 65 fact sheets on a variety of issues.
The sheets are organized by topic, within these categories: Financial Issues, Government Benefits, Health Issues, Insurance Issues, Legal Issues, Marital Issues, Surviving Spouse Issues, and Retirement Issues.
These sheets are located in the members-only pages of the RTO/ERO Web site.
